Implementasi Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) Melalui Program Kecamatan Kawunganten Bebas Buta Baca Al Quran

Abstract

The “Kecamatan Kawunganten Bebas Buta Baca Al-Quran” program is a form of implementation of Community Service (PkM) carried out by students of University of Nahdlatul Ulama Al Ghazali (UNUGHA) Cilacap in collaboration with the Kawunganten Subdistrict Majelis Wakil Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama (MWCNU). This activity aims to reduce the level of Qur'an reading illiteracy in the community, especially during the month of Ramadan. This service is carried out through various programs, including Read Al-Qur'an Checking (BSA) activities, mentoring and strengthening in TPQ, ngaji panggok, and Tahsin AAT training (Al-Fatihah, Ayat Kursi, and Tahiyyat) for PAUD/RA/TK teachers. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a participatory observation method, where students as implementers are directly involved in all activities. The results of the activities showed high community enthusiasm, improved Al-Qur'an reading skills, and the creation of positive emotional relationships between students and residents. Therefore, more careful planning is needed, strengthening coordination between parties, and establishing a regeneration system for program sustainability. This activity not only has a positive impact on the community, but also becomes a real learning medium for students in developing academic, social, and leadership skills based on Islamic values.
