HARI CERIA BERSAMA TEMAN ISTIMEWA: PERAN PERGURUAN TINGGI DALAM MENDUKUNG PENDIDIKAN INKLUSIF DI SLBN CILACAP

Abstract

The “Hari Ceria Bersama Teman Istimewa” program was held at the Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri (SLBN) Cilacap as a community service initiative to support inclusive education for students with intellectual disabilities. This activity was designed through collaboration between faculty members, students, and teachers, using a participatory approach that positions students as active participants in the learning process. The primary objective of the program is to enhance students’ learning motivation and strengthen their social skills, while also providing teachers with new experiences in managing inclusive learning. The implementation method involved personal mentoring by faculty members and students. A total of 20 students actively participated in the activity, which took place on December 17, 2025. The results of the activity demonstrated increased learning motivation through active participation, the development of social skills through collaborative activities, and the strengthening of teachers’ capacity through reflection and the practice of inclusive learning. The outcomes of this program include increased student participation and the formation of a collaborative network between the university and the SLB. Supporting factors for success include the active involvement of faculty members, students, teacher support, and student engagement. Conversely, limiting factors included variations in student abilities and teachers’ time constraints. Overall, this initiative underscored the importance of stakeholder collaboration in building an inclusive educational ecosystem.
