Abstract

Character has a very important value in living daily life. This study aims to determine the role of fairy tales in shaping characters in students, using qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The results showed that storytelling can shape characters from an early age. So that if it is done continuously in an innovative and creative way, character will be formed from an early age in students and can develop better. Storytelling is good for character building, creativity in everyday life. Storytelling activities can be done with hand puppets, digital tools, picture books, or others.
