PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI PROGRAM TAHFIDZ AL-QUR’AN DI JURUSAN KEAGAMAAN MA MINAT

Abstract

Education, which should be spearheading of the nations progress, has not yet been fully realized to overcome the problem of character quality degradation. The lack of optimization of the character education in educational institutions and this situation is exacerbated by the education system the lacks religious material. Most education practitioners are indeed more inclined to mastering the dimension of knowledge (knowlage), while aspects of morality and religiosity as the main element of character education have not been optimally considered. Character can certainly be developed outside of learning theory, such as habituation activities, one of which is through the tahfidz al-Quran program. Through the tahfidz al-Quran program in schools, it can equip students to be able to read and memoriez the al-Quran while at the same time forming noble characters in themselves. The participants in this study where the principal, the caretaker Ribath Nahdlatut Tullab dormitory, the tahfidz al-Quran teacher, and students. Data collection, interviews and documentation. Data analysis teachniques, which included data collection, data reduction, data display and conclusion. The results of the study found that the implementation of the tahfidz al-Quran program in the MA MINAT Religion Department consisted of the first stage of planning, the second stage, namely the core activities of implementing the tahfidz al-Quran program, the methods used and supporting facilities. The last stage is evaluation. The process of inculcating character education through the tahfidz al-Quran program in the Departement of Religion MA MINAT, among others: Religious; create a sense of love for the Quran in students and incrased students motivation to memorieze al-Quran. Discipline; provide targets releated to the achievement of memorizing the Quran and the example of the teacher. Responsibility; requires murajaah students every day.
