Please carefully follow the guidelines below as you write. Any manuscripts not meeting these guidelines will be returned to the author(s) for correction, which can cause significant delays in the publication of your work.

Required Word Counts
Please ensure that your manuscript follows the word count requirements

  • 5,000-6,000 words (Journal Article)

All manuscripts must

  • be submitted in Microsoft® Word.
  • be typewritten in English or Indonesia
  • be typewritten the references using "Mendeley Application" and please cited the articles in high indexing (Scopus, Clarivate Analytics Web of Science) at least 30 articles and also in a national accredited journal or indexed by Sinta 2 (Indonesia Science and Technology Index) at least 20 articles.

  1. The originality of manuscripts. Only ORIGINAL submissions will be accepted for publication. Manuscripts may not have been previously published or be submitted for publication elsewhere.
  2. Revised manuscripts. Golden Age: Jurnal Ilmiah Tumbuh Kembang Anak Usia Dini will not publish a manuscript that is a “revised” version of a manuscript that you published elsewhere. In order to be considered original, a manuscript must be at least 80% new material with no more than 200 consecutive words (properly cited) repeated verbatim from any previously published work.
  3. Teaching notes. If you are writing a case study, please provide supplemental teaching notes as a separate document from your manuscript. These notes will be provided to readers interested in adopting your work as course material.
  4. Copyright. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal. Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal. Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on their website) prior to and during the submission process, as it can lead to productive exchanges, as well as earlier and greater citation of published work.
  5. Plagiarism. Jurnal Warna: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini takes concerns of plagiarism very seriously. The editor, however, double checks each article before its publication. The first step is to check plagiarism against the offline database developed by Jurnal Warna and, secondly, against as much as possible online databases. A maximum of 35 % of similarities is allowed for the submitted papers. Should we find more than 35 % of the similarity index, the article will be returned to the author for correction and re-submission.
  6. Titles. Titles may be no longer than 100 characters. Subtitles, if included, may be no longer than 50   characters.
    • Note that all titles must be entered in the title case. To put a title in title case, the first letter of each word should be capitalized unless that word is a preposition (position words such as “over,” “with,” or “between”), conjunction (connecting words such as “and” or “but”), or article (“a,” “an,” or “the”). The only exceptions to this rule are that the first word of the title or subtitle is always capitalized, even if it is an article, preposition, or conjunction.
    • Titles may not be written in all capital letters (e.g., "CHAPTER TITLE" is incorrect; "Chapter Title" is correct)
  7. Headings. Please format all headings as in the below manuscript formatting templates. Heading names within the body of your text may be tailored to the content of the work. Note that headings and subheadings should NOT be numbered (e.g., 1. Introduction, 2. Background, etc.).
  8. Images. A manuscript may include no more than 20 figures. Any figures or tables that do not meet these minimum specifications will be returned to the author(s) for correction. All figures must be submitted as separate files in .tif format. Please also note that it is the author's responsibility to obtain permission to use any image currently under copyright by a third party. Please see the image guide for more information.
  9. The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association of Style 7th Edition Citations. Please ensure that all information in your manuscript that is taken from another source is substantiated with an in-text reference citation. A minimum of 20 sources is required for each submission. Please also note that your references must follow The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association of Style 7th Edition style. (The publisher will return your submission to you for correction if you do not properly format your references.) For more information and examples on The Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association of Style 7th Edition Citations, please see the template.
    • Self-citation. Researchers may need to cite their previously published works in order to communicate an idea effectively in their present manuscript. While Jurnal Warna: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini encourages the use of self-citations in these cases, it is important that self-cited works do not account for, at most, 50% of the total references in the manuscript.
  10. LaTex. LaTex files are NOT accepted because they are not compatible with Jurnal Warna: Jurnal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini’s typesetting program. As an alternative, we require that you use MathType (see “Equations” below).
  11. Equations. If a symbol or equation can be typed directly into Microsoft Word, please do so. Otherwise, we require using MathType to format all equations. Authors can download a free trial version of MathType here: http://www.dessci.com/en/products/mathtype/.
