EFEKTIVITAS TEKNIK SELF MANAGEMENT UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KONSENTRASI BELAJAR SANTRI

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) determine the learning concentration of students before being given group counseling services with self-management techniques, (2) reveal the effectiveness of using self-management techniques with group counseling services in increasing learning concentration. This study used a quasi-experimental research. The research design used was the Nonequvalent Control Group Design. This research was conducted at the Raudlatul Huda Adipala Islamic Boarding School in December 2020. The population in this study were female Madin first grade students. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. Samples taken in this study were students who had a low learning concentration consisting of a control group of 7 students and an experimental group of 8 students. Treatment group counseling services with self-management techniques were only given to the experimental group and not to the control group. The data collection instrument was in the form of a questionnaire. Validity test uses product moment correlation coarse numbers and reliability test is Alpha coefficient. The data analysis technique used the t test. The results of this study indicate that the learning concentration of students before being given group counseling services using self-management techniques is low. This is evidenced by the results of the pre-test that the researchers gave to the students. The concentration of student learning after being given group counseling services with self-management techniques is high. This is evidenced by the number of post test results the researcher gave to the students. There is a positive effect of using group counseling services with self-management techniques to increase the learning concentration of students between before and after giving the treatmeant. This is evidenced by the results of hypothesis testing based on the results of the SPSS table. The results of the independent sample t-test sig value is 0.74> 0.05, then the data variable is homogeneous and Sig. (2 tailed) is 0.000 <0.05, so the use of group counseling services with self-management techniques has a positive effect on learning concentration, Students.
